Bella’s Easter Basket

One of my favourite things about Easter (apart from roast lamb and consuming copious amounts of mini eggs of course) is playing Easter Bunny. I love filling up a pretty basket with some cute goodies for Bella to open on Easter Sunday and this will actually be the third one I have done for her. I can’t wait to see her little face when she finds it, egg surprises are her favourite thing ever so the Kinder Bunny I have got is probably going to blow her little mind 😉 I know some people think it’s a bit over the top, but I really enjoy collecting all the little bits and bobs for it, it doesn’t have to be overly expensive and it’s become a bit of a tradition now which I love, I hope it’s something she remembers fondly when she’s older and something she may even go on to re create for her children one day.

Bella was only around 6 months old for her first Easter so her basket included a soft toy, some Easter books, the cutest little romper and bunny ears of course!

Her second one included more books, bubbles, stickers, a beaker, some marshmallows, a couple of mini chocolate treats and some bunny head boppers because naturally I lost the ears from the year before 😉

Finally here’s a look at what goodies are in Bella’s Easter basket this year. I bought most of the bits from my local Sainsburys this time apart from the bunny ears which were from pound land last year.

 Daisy Headband (How friggin’ cute?!)

Pastel Hairbands & Hair Clips

Two Tubs Of Play Doh

Bunny & Chick Marshmallows

Usbourne Easter Sticker Book

‘Love’ By Emma Dodd Book

Kinder Egg Surprise Bunny

Smarties Filled Mini Chocolate Chick

Bunny Ears (Re used from last year)

Are you making an Easter Basket for your little one this year?

Thanks for reading

Untill recently I hadn’t heard of Easter baskets, youve been doing one for three years? Wow I’m behind. I think it’s a wonderful alternative to lots of chocolate. Thanks for sharing and giving me some ideas.

I know a lot of others seem to have jumped on the bandwagon this year I noticed!! I first stumbled across the idea before I was even pregnant and made a mental note that it was something I wanted to do when I had kids one day! 🙂 I think this will be the first year that Bella properly appreciates it though 😉 Well…I hope!! xo

Some adorable things in her basket. I’m just writing up the boys’ easter basket post now. We have got one of the same eggs as you 🙂 I love the Emma Dodd books – so beautifully illustrated xx

I’m making my toddler one for the third time too. So far I have a Peppa pig easter egg hunt book, play doh and an easter activity book. I’ve also bought some bits to do an easter egg hunt. Love your ideas.

I LOVE easter and I love doing an easter basket! I am however struggling as to what to put in my sons who will be almost 7 months… Everything seems girly! Not that that matters to him (or me!) xxx

Me too!! So glad you share my enthusiasm! 😉 Yes it’s tricky when they are small, what about a beaker, some jammies, a book, soft toy etc? xxx

What a lovely basket. Not making an easter basket this year. I’ve never made one before. I generally just hide the eggs and presents in the garden asis

Thanks Janine. I think it’s a fairly new thing people are doing. We always have an easter egg hunt and my in laws also! xo
