We were recently sent the wonderful Perch Booster Seat in Taupe from the lovely people over at OXO tot. Bella is three now and will happily sit in a normal dining chair up at the table. She usually chooses to sit on her knees though, which just isn’t very practical or comfortable. The perch booster seat is perfect for a child of her age. It brings her up to the right height without being too bulky.
Although it is actually suitable to use from around 15 months. For a younger child you can strap the booster to a chair and it has a 3 point harness to ensure your little one is safe. As Bella is a bit bigger we decided not to strap the booster to the chair. It has these amazing grips underneath to ensure that when placed on top of the chair it doesn’t slip. You can be use it without the lap strap too but for some reason Bella actually prefers being strapped in!
We have been using the Perch Booster for a few weeks now and it has made both meal times and play times so much easier. The backrest supports Bella really well and she seems very comfortable. She often uses it when she wants to sit up and paint or colour as well as using it for when she’s eating too. We recently used it when doing some baking and it was so handy and meant Bella was at the perfect height to get stuck in.
Aesthetically I love how discreet this booster is compared to others we have used previously. It isn’t bright or garish so fits with our dining room decor nicely. We have the Taupe but it is also available in grey and green too. It also tucks nicely under the table which means that when it isn’t in use, you almost forget it’s there! The seat is easy to clean down as the cushion lifts out too. You can also fold the booster with just a push of a button making it ideal for taking with you away from home.
Overall I have been super impressed with this booster seat and once Bella is finished with it I will definitely be putting it away for baby number two to use too.
*OXO tot very kindly sent us this seat in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are of course my own*
