The Ordinary Moments ’16 #17 & #18 | Life Lately

Gosh I am so behind on my Ordinary Moments posts, I really must get into the routine of writing them up on a Sunday when the happenings of the week are still fresh in my memory because otherwise I tend to forget about the little things, the ones that I really want to be documenting in these posts.

So, life lately in the Lee household?

Well there isn’t a great deal to report if I’m completely honest. Josh was away on a business trip for a few days and I just about survived parenting solo while he was gone. In between juggling our usual hectic work schedules, we’ve celebrated some family birthdays, we went swimming last weekend which Bella absolutely loved, Josh and I enjoyed a child free shopping and dinner date and we’ve been doing a lot of pottering around in the garden in preparation for the warmer weather. So nothing too exciting but enjoyable all the same.

Its now less than a month until our holiday and we’re all really looking forward to getting away for a week in the sunshine. Josh spends a lot of hours either at work or working from home each week which can be tough sometimes as Bella and I really do miss him, so it will be great to spend some quality family time together while we’re away.

I’ve been feeling a bit overwhelmed these past few weeks and feel like my life is a bit of an disorganised mess and that I’m swiftly heading in the right direction for a quarter life crisis 😉 Probably a bit of an over exaggeration, but sometimes that is honestly how it feels and I’m sure I’m not alone. I definitely do not have my shit together at the moment and it’s making me seriously stressed. There just never seems to be enough hours in the day to get everything done that needs doing and my little brain is completely frazzled by bed time. I’ve started putting pen to paper in the form of a daily ‘To Do’ list in the hope to try and help me to be more productive. It’s definitely helped so far but I think that maybe my lists are a bit over ambitious each day, which may be why I can never complete all the tasks on them! Oops.

We don’t have any huge plans between now and when we go away which makes a nice change, hopefully we can finish some odd jobs around the house (which I can then happily tick off my ‘To Do’ lists), the weather is also meant to be lovely so I’m eager to spend lots of time outside soaking up the Sunshine with my favourite people and working our way through our Spring Bucket List.

I know this post is probably a bit rambly and could come across slightly negative but that wasn’t the point of it at all, it’s just how I’m feeling at the moment and it feels good to get it out sometimes.

So that’s what we’ve been up to over the past couple of weeks and there have definitely been plenty of Ordinary Moments. Here’s a few of my favourites from Instagram of our life lately, as I’ve been too disorganised to remember to snap much on my big camera! Sigh. I promise that I will start posting these on time one day along with better photos  😉

Ah I think we all feel like we’re living in a disorganised mess sometimes, its only natural when the kids are little and life is 100 miles an hour. It will settle, I promise xx

Sounds like you guys have been busy! Yay for holiday times. We’re off next Monday and are so excited. Roll on the summer! Bless you, I feel you on the disorganised front. It’s so hard to keep on top of things sometimes. Take a deep breath and try and break down the to do list into manageable chunks each day. Lovely photos 🙂 x
