I was recently challenged by the lovely people over at Thomas.J.Fudge’s to create the ultimate chocolate dipping sauce to accompany their wondrous white chocolate florentines, which I must add, are absolutely delicious with or without a dipping sauce!
I was sent a pack of the florentines along with a selection of The Grenada Chocolate company chocolate to use for my sauce. The recipe I used for the chocolate sauce is super easy and extremely versatile, you could literally add in whatever you fancy. If your a chocolate orange fan then a good dash of Cointreau makes an amazing addition to any chocolatey dish, especially a chocolate dipping sauce.
I decided to keep mine fairly simple as I didn’t want to take the flavours away from the florentines themselves so I just added a good pinch of flaked sea salt to my finished sauce! I absolutely adore the combination of rich chocolate paired with the sharp saltyness, it’s a match made in heaven I tell you! My husband almost devoured the whole packet of florentines dipped in the sauce, it’s that good.
If you’d like to give it a go yourself then please find the recipe below.
